OOM: With Alana, after the events of 'Rôti'

Dr. Hannibal Lecter is walking up the hospital corridor towards Will Graham's room, with a canvas basket containing a thermos and some covered containers.

"Alana?" he calls out, quietly.

"I thought so," Hannibal says, putting the containers out onto the metal cart.

There is cutlery, and even a proper cloth napkin.

He opens two lids. One reveals insalata caprese, and the other pasta with salsiccia in a sauce of fresh tomatoes.

Alana's eyes widen a little as she sets her coffee cup down. "You've done it again, Hannibal, wow," she says, smiling. "Thank you."

She selects a portion of the delectable-smelling meals, and dines with small bites. "Mm," she says. "This is delicious."

"I had hoped so," Hannibal says. "Even an unhappy vigil in a hospital is no reason for food that is not tasty."

"There are few good reasons for food that isn't tasty," she says, nodding. "I admit I'm made much happier by the compassionate cooking of a friend."

"Which is my intention," Hannibal says. "I can be helpful with cooking, at least."

Happily, he watches her eat.-
